Italian/ English language Course for Teacher

Direct discovery of the cultural heritage of the city of Ascoli between the medieval and Renaissance phases.
Achieve target 11.4 of the 2030 Agenda on the protection and defense of the world’s cultural and natural heritage
Involvement of professors in experimenting with a methodology that starts from the direct experience of places, monuments and works with an approach from observation to production. We start from direct experience and once the characterizing elements have been identified, in-depth reports will be formulated on multiple levels (historical-artistic, scientific, socio-cultural around the protection and enhancement of heritage) maps and graphs to be re-proposed at the level of teaching tools to their students.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Improve oral comprehension: interaction with native speaking teachers will certainly Improve your understanding of both spoken and written Italian.
  • Mastering Italian grammar: from simple to advanced structures for precise and effective communication.
  • Understanding regional realities: Marche and its food and wine traditions, the culture and the history.
  • Improve writing skills: practical tips to improve writing fluency.
  • Strengthen oral production: through group projects and role plays, participants will strengthen their speaking skills in authentic contexts.
  • Immerse yourself in culture: experiencing real-life language practice in cities like Ascoli, exploring the richness of Italian traditions and different regional cultures.
Metodology and Assessment

All our courses include an active and participatory methodology. Each phase of the training is focused on achieving the objectives set and participants are constantly encouraged to carry out practical experiences to replicate in the classroom with their students. Our methodology is based above all on communication and practical learning. Throughout the process, digital tools that improve both the understanding and production of texts will provide valid help and support.


For each module, final group work is used which stimulates discussion and creates motivating learning experiences by putting each planned action into a situation.

Pricing

The cost of the course is 450 € and includes lessons, useful material for the course, coffee breaks and city visits. It does not include the Saturday excursion which must be booked at the time of registration
Cancellation can be made without penalty within fifteen days before the start of the session. In case of force majeure (see the cases foreseen by the Erasmus programme) cancellation is also possible on the start day of the course

Course Programme

  • Arrival and Introduction Day 1

    Every morning break with cappuccino ☕ and typical sweets

    • Arrival and reception of participants: Presentation and explanation of the program, organization for the preparation of the material to be included on the web page.
    • Presentation of the city of Ascoli and the Romanesque: Delivery of educational material.
    • City tour: Discovering travertine in Ascoli.

  • Romanesque Heritage Day 2

    • Reworking of the prepared teaching material: Refining and organizing educational content.
    • Tour of the city: Exploring the Romanesque heritage.
    • Meeting with journalists: Discussion and exchange of insights.

  • Renaissance Heritage Day 3

    • Presentation of Renaissance Humanism: Exploration of its influence and significance.
    • Preparation of educational material: Creating resources to enhance understanding.
    • Tours to discover Renaissance monuments: Visiting key sites that represent the movement.
    • Meeting with heritage associations: Engaging with groups focused on preservation.

  • Finalization and Cultural Experience Day 4

    • Reworking and verification of the material produced: Reviewing and ensuring the quality of the final outputs.
    • Small introduction to the Metaverse: Understanding its relevance in modern education and heritage preservation.
    • Dinner in a local restaurant: Enjoying traditional gastronomic specialties in an authentic setting.

  • Conclusion and Departure Day 5

    • Final evaluation of the course: Reflection on achievements and discussion of future applications.
    • Meeting with authorities: Formal closing session and certificate delivery.
    • Departure of participants: Official farewell and travel arrangements.

  • Possibility of guided tour in Rome (Optional) Day 6
